The 25th of November

Playing along with Shimelle for Scrap-Your-Day. This month's theme was including yourself in your photos. I didn't get too creative with that, just consciously remembered to DO it!

It was a rather un-eventful day. Work, school, home. Nothing too exciting. At first I thought I would have just a few pictures, but LAD pulled thru in the evening and provided photo opportunities. I think I took a total of about 50 pics, but whittled it down to about 19. Wow this might be a record for me!
Morning routine:

Cold today

This is the sight I was greeted with when I went to pick up LAD. They are very observant and spot Moms right away! I was so proud to see LAD carrying 2 purses, one pink, of course!

LAD was displaying his possessive quality here. His friend in the green shirt was saying Hi to me and LAD was telling him "That's MY mom", in a not so nice tone. It's ok buddy, it's OK.

You definitely cannot sneak up on this group, they all know who belongs to who!

Then at home. After supper. LAD wanted to "work". So we got out his stamps and stickers.

First Snow!

It snowed an inch or two today. Roads are just wet. It was a pretty snow, big flakes! LAD and I decided to go out and enjoy it!
These pictures today fit perfectly with this weeks Design Your Life sketch at BPS. I'm a few weeks behind, so just decided to jump back in and catch up later.

We got this small snow shovel a few weeks ago, finally putting it to good use!

We ventured into the back yard, found some dump trucks and buckets. Had to fill up the buckets with snow from the playhouse.

He picked up speed as he went!

Highlights of LAD to ARK

LAD spent last week with Oma and Aunt Suzie while Daddy went deer hunting with his buddies. I think they were on the go pretty much the whole week! They started out going to Petit Jean State Park.

All of this leading to exhaustion!

Chores:

A visit to the Veteran's Day Parade. He was very excited about the Candy. I hadn't heard about the puppies!

Playing with his cousin Andrew, who is his new BEST friend. I think he would follow Andrew anywhere. Thanks Andrew for the two bags of toys cleaned from your room and given to LAD!

Sad, sad, sad day

Yesterday we lost one of the best guys around, he was a great aviator, friend, father and husband. He taught me to fly back in 1993 and to this day I can still hear his voice in my head, talking me thru training maneuvers. I don't think I ever flew alone after I soloed, I always had Jerry's voice echoing in my head.

Oh, how many solo flights Jerry must have watched his students make!

More recently, Randy and Jerry helping pushing the Super Decathlon out for a flight.

How to Harve A Pumpkin

This was the Sunday before Halloween, when we "harved" our pumpkin, LAD's word!

First you cut the top off with a filet knife.

Next you check out what's inside, just guts!

Proceed to remove guts. But don't let them touch you! It didn't help that Daddy made a big deal about them!

Yet two days later they played with "guts" at daycare and I think he enjoyed that!

Quality Control. Make sure Daddy does it right and to inspector satisfaction.

Draw a face. Or just color the whole thing.
