Happy 4th!

We went to Reiman Gardens to watch the Ames fireworks on Friday night. LAD was on the go, constantly running. We saw the model train for a few minutes, then they closed it down for the evening. Then we explored a little more, then had a picnic! Then the boys played football until dark. The weather was perfect and we even put on our jackets by 10:00. Can you believe that for July! LAD enjoyed the fireworks for about 10 minutes, then we was ready to go home. They lasted 25 minutes, which was surprising. They were fairly far off, so the noise wasn't too loud. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Great fireworks photos! Oh, the kid's great, too. And the Dad, well, he's great, too. (I had to say that. He fixes my car, and the airplane, etc.)

Ames is famous for its SUPER long parades (4th was about 1 hour 20 minutes, VEISHEA has been known to be 2 hours or more) and long fireworks displays:) Our boys started running around in the trees next to the stadium during the fireworks. You got some good shots!
