Yesterday we lost one of the best guys around, he was a great aviator, friend, father and husband. He taught me to fly back in 1993 and to this day I can still hear his voice in my head, talking me thru training maneuvers. I don't think I ever flew alone after I soloed, I always had Jerry's voice echoing in my head.
Oh, how many solo flights Jerry must have watched his students make!
More recently, Randy and Jerry helping pushing the Super Decathlon out for a flight.
More details here.
Rest in peace Jerry, rest in peace.

The right stuff, that's Jerry. They don't come any better. Right rudder, right rudder! Dance on those rudders! Fly, fly fly... set'er down when she's ready... Yes, he'll be in my head, too, forever.
That's so sad. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I'll be thinking of his family.
Just catching up on your blog, Fonda. What a sad day, indeed. Sounds like he made a big impact on your life, and through you, a little piece of him will live on.
