Winter Weather Phenomenon-ICE

Today we had a stay-home day due to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice. We were very lucky to not lose power so far (knock on wood). When you step outside it sure sounds creaky with all the ice covered trees. We've lost some small branches, but nothing major so far.

And a little elf who would rather play in the laundry basket than anything else. Especially if Daddy will swing him around in it.

Snow by the feet, blizzards, freezing fog, now ice. What does Mother Nature have left to throw at us? Guess we will soon find out!

Being swung around in a laundry basket is an awesome game! I wish someone were big enough to do it to me too;)
Michael went to a Nature Tots program about turtles out at McFarland park (Story County Conservation). So the other day he was a turtle. Of course his shell was the empty laundry basket, hehehehe
